Big Bend is unreal for stargazing—never seen the Milky Way so bright! Last time I visited, a storm rolled through at night and the lightning over the desert was wild. For anyone going, stop at the Terlingua ghost town right outside the park—cool vibes, good chili, and live music most weekends.

I hiked Fern Canyon last summer—felt like I was in Jurassic Park (minus the raptors). Waterproof shoes are a must. The drive in is a little wild, but totally worth it. Also, you can camp at Gold Bluffs Beach and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. 10/10 recommend.
